In the year 180 AD, Rome fell into a time called Pax Romana. This was a time when Rome was in complete peace. It began under Augustus and lasted for 2 centuries. The only fighting at this time was on the frontiers of the Empire, where foreigners were trying to get in. Strong leaders held power in provinces, like a govener today. Rome also had peaceful trade amongst the lands they conquered.
Pax Romana means Roman peace in Latin.
